What You Will Need

For Shelter

  • Tent (if you are not in a cabin), plus all tent accessories such as ropes, stakes, mallets, etc.
  • Bedding: sleeping bag, extra blanket/s, sleeping pad/air mattress (highly recommended as the ground is stony!), pillow/s
  • Flashlights, lanterns, headlamps – bring 2 just in case one will not function or gets lost!; battery operated, NOT propane
  • Batteries

For Personal Health

  • Medication and special dietary needs food, if applicable
  • Small, personal first aid kit: CAYA will have a larger first aid kit available with all the general supplies at the First Aid Station,
  • but having a personal kit will help tremendously.
  • Refillable water bottle/flask/canteen
  • Drinking water for your personal needs: we have been assured that there is a lot of potable water available at Stone City,
  • but we believe a personal supply is a good idea.

For Personal Comfort

  • Food: Although there will be some food provided you should plan to bring most of your own, making sure it does not need much refrigeration. In case you need to bring meat, please make sure this is well labeled in sealed containers and know that we can store only SMALL quantities in a fridge.
  • Toiletries: please make an effort to get biodegradable soap for showering, shampooing, dishes!
  • Towels
  • Sunscreen and bug repellent
  • Lipbalm
  • Sunglasses and sunhat (wide-brimmed, one with neck cover even better)
  • Sturdy clothing; Warm clothing/layers for evenings/nights; light, airy clothing for day (long pants and sleeves highly
  • recommended if you sunburn easily or walk through brush)
  • Bathing suit
  • Closed-toe walking shoes
  • Sandals (closed-toe recommended; flip-flops not so good due to uneven terrain, except around your private campsite)
  • Utensils: mug, plate, bowl, fork, knife, spoon, can opener (there is enough in the kitchen, but in case you like your own
  • and in case kitchen runs out too fast)
  • Musical instruments, especially percussion such as rattles and drums

Recommended & Suggested

For Shelter

  • Tarp/s, ground cloths: to keep dirt away, and/or as extra sun shelters
  • Canopy or sun umbrella or other shade structure
  • Camp chairs/lounges/cots/stadium seats/free-standing hammocks

For Personal Hygiene

  • Toilet Paper
  • Baby wipes
  • Sun showers (camp showers): this in case you do not want to wait in line at the showers of which there are 3 total. There will be women and men separately designated times for showering.

For Personal Comfort

  • Bag or backpack to carry utensils, water, medication etc. around with you
  • Walking poles or sticks
  • Personal cooler
  • Plastic storage, trash bags, paper towels
  • Ear plugs
  • Multi-tool knife (Swiss army knife)
  • Ritual gear: whatever pretties you wish to bring that you don’t mind getting dirty

Note about personal camp stoves or personal BBQs: they are NOT allowed at individual campsites, and only at main building which hosts the kitchen. In case you really need/want to bring them, please also furnish your own charcoal and supplies. If you can, please abstain from bringing them.
