This workshop will be an intensive on Grounding, Centering, and Shielding – the metaphysical equivalent of putting on your lab coat and goggles before you pursue bigger works; or in some cases, of donning your own oxygen mask before assisting those around you on a faltering plane. Also covered will be the companion process of Opening; our shields should protect us without walling us away. Concepts will be introduced and practiced. Come learn or brush up on your skills.

Join CAYA’s Priestess of Sacred Dance as she gives brief descriptions of elemental dance, the movements of earth, air, fire and water. How to evoke these and use them to create power in ritual and to work magic through movement. There will be movement meditation and “free form” dance using movements learned in this workshop.

This Rose Street House of Music founder and singer-songwriter has performed for 25 years, from her childhood singing Russian folk and American Jazz in a family band, to performing her own songs for the last 12 years. She expresses insightful, gutsy, vocal world-folk originals and layers her poetic lyrics with richtextured harmonies, swirling with vocal percussive beats, all createdlive on-the-spot using her loop station instrument.

We will be building fairy homes out of found objects. We will then lead the children in a brief ritual to invoke their own fairy guardian into their homes and lives. Adults are welcome too!

Energy and Hands on Healing workshop

This workshop begins with exercises to sense auras, pass energy balls to one another and other “warm-up” energy play. Participants will then have the chance to discuss any “alternative” healing methods they have tried, as practitioner or patient. A few energetic healing techniques (passing hands, drumming, toning and perhaps others) will then be displayed with an opportunity to pair off and try these on one another.

This unique duo has enraptured audiences throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles and San Diego with their mix of Improvisation, Alternative and Eastern styles since 2000. Fontain’s M.U.S.E. has performed for the popular Sonoma County, Harmony Festival as well as Techno-Tribal Groove Temple. They are regularly featured at annual events like Pagan Pride in Berkeley and Pantheacon in San Jose.

Miss Priest – a witch, Elder in the Covenant of the Goddess and the Troth – will cover the lore, mythology, and uses of amber and jet as well as bring many different examples from her private collection to “show and tell.” She has been selling amber and jet since the 80’s.

We love to divine the future, and even the present – to see into our subconscious and that of those around us. We’ve learned about Runes, Tarot Cards and even the Ogham. But these are the tools, the actual intuitive nature of divination is inside each of us. In this workshop, participants will develop their scrying abilities with various simple objects that cost little to no money and can be gathered on the fly.
